Ingredients used in NAMKEEN DALMOTH
• Masoor dal - 1 cup.
• Oil for deep fry - as required.
• Cashew nuts - 10 numbers.
• Dry red chilli - 3 numbers.
• Curry leaves - 2 springs.
• Red chilli powder - ½ tea spoon.
• Black salt - ½ tea spoon.
• Sev - 1 cup.
Method:
  • Soak the Masoor dal in water for 6 to 7 hours. Remove water from the whole Masoor dal and dry thick towel for 10 minutes spread out evenly so that all the water is removed.
  • Heat oil in a pan and fry the Masoor dal till the dal becomes crispy and keep it on a paper napkin to remove excess oil. And also fry cashew nuts, dry red chilly, curry leaves.­­­
  • In a bowl add fried Masoor dal, red chilies, cashew nuts, curry leaves.
  • In this add red chili powder, dry mango powder. black salt, sev and mix it well.

Hi Chef!, I tried this recipe but my Daal did not came out fluffy and crunchy instead it was like little kankar(rock).  It happened same thing with Chana-Daal. I know i did not over fried masoor, if you plz let me know what should i do.?
