Ingredients used in CHICKPEA SOUP WITH RICE
• Chickpeas - 1 cup.
• Pepper corn - 1/2 tea spoon.
• Coriander seeds - 1 tea spoon.
• Cumin seeds - 1 tea spoon.
• Rice - 1 tablespoon.
• Tomatoes (chopped) - 2 number.
• Onions (chopped) - 1 number.
• Salt - to taste.
• Olive oil - 2 tablespoons.
• Garlic (crushed) - 10 numbers.
• Turmeric powder - 1/2 tea spoon.
• Paprika powder - 1 tea spoon.
• Potato (chopped and boiled) - 1/2 cup.
• Carrots (chopped) - 1/2 cup.
• Sugar - 1/2 tea spoon.
• Dry herb - 1/2 tea spoon.
Method:
Over boil the chickpeas and keep aside. Take a pan, add pepper, coriander seeds, cumin seeds, rice, slightly dry roast it then transfer it into a mixie jar and make a smooth powder. Take a pan, add olive oil, onions, little salt, crushed garlic, carrots, tomatoes, turmeric powder, paprika powder and cook it with closed lid on slow flame for 3 -4 minutes. Add already prepared smooth powder, mix immediately and add little water, potato, boiled chick peas and check for seasoning. At last, add salt, sugar, dry herb, boil it for another 10 minutes. Now take into a serving bowl and serve with bread.
