| • Coriander powder - 1 tablespoon. | |
| • Salt - to taste. | |
| • Onion (chopped) - 1 number. | |
| • Garlic (chopped) - 4 cloves. | |
| • Turmeric powder - 1/4 tea spoon. | |
| • Curry leaves - 2 springs. | |
| • Cumin seeds - half tea spoon. | |
| • Mustard seeds - half tea spoon. | |
| • Tomato (chopped) - 3 number. | |
| • Chana dal - 100 grams. | |
| • Coconut grated - 1 tablespoon. | |
| • Coriander leaves(chopped) - 1 bunch. | |
| • Oil - as required. |

I can't get "ridge gourd" (I guess that is the spelling??) here in Germany, what could I use a a replacement? Kohlrabi comes to mind.

Any kürbis or kürbisflasche should be ok. The ridge gourd is less sweet than most orange flesh winter squash but maybe you can find a delicata squash which is less sweet? It may be called "süßkartoffel squash" Probably you will want to spen
