Ingredients used in RUI POSTO (Rohu fish with poppy seeds paste)
• Rohu fish - 5 big.
• Poppy seeds - 3 teaspoons.
• Charmagaj paste - 1 1/2 teaspoons.
• Bay leaf - 2 leaf.
• Ginger paste - 1 tablespoons.
• Turmeric powder - 1/2 teaspoons.
• Mustard seeds - 1/2 teaspoons.
• Cinnamon stick - 1 large.
• Dry chillis - 3 piece.
• Chopped onion - 1 big.
• Chopped tomato - 3 small.
• Salt - 0 to.
• Sugar - 0 to.
• Dry chilli powder - 1/2 teaspoons.
• Slitted green chillis - 4 big.
• Milk - 3-4 cup.
• Garam masala powder - 1/2 teaspoons.
Method:
Take a pan & heat the oil then fry the fish lightly. Next in this hot oil add the mustard seeds,bay leaf,turmeric powder,dry chilli powder,cinnamon stick. Soon add the ginger paste & give a good stir then add chopped onions, chopped tomatoes & fry it untill the oil is coming out from the edges. Then add the paste of charmagaj & poppy stir for a little but remember one thing that dont heat poppy paste more on the flame. Immediately add milk, salt, sugar, slitted green chillis & leave it to boil for 10 mins. Then add the fried fish & leave it to boil for another 3-4 mins lastly sprinkle the garam masala powder & switch off the flame.
