Ingredients used in Mutton Kofta Curry
• Mutton - 1000 grams.
• Onion - 2 numbers.
• Ginger garlic paste - 1 tablespoon.
• Almonds - 4 numbers.
• Mint leaves - 1 bunch.
• Coriander leaves - 1 bunch.
• Dry roasted channa dal - 2 tablespoons.
• Oil - to fry.
• Turmeric powder - 1/2 tea spoon.
• Salt - to taste.
• Poppy seeds - 1 tablespoon.
• Charoli-chironji - 1 tablespoon.
• Cashew nut - 8 numbers.
• Ginger garlic paste - 1 tablespoon.
• Red chilly powder - 2 tablespoons.
• Yogurt - 200 grams.
• Coriander leaves - 1/2 bunch.
• Garam masala - 1/2 tea spoon.
• Ground nuts - 6 numbers.
Method:

FOR KOFTA:

  • Clean mutton and keep 200garms aside.
  • Take the pressure cooker and add mutton,onion, ginger garlic paste, almonds, coriander leaves, mint leaves dry roasted chana dal, oil, turmeric powder, salt and cook for 4 whistle.
  • Cool and transfer it into the mixie jar and add leftover mutton pieces, blend it coarsely and make the round balls.
  • Deep fry the koftas in hot oil and keep aside.

FOR GRAVY:

  • Take the mixie jar and add poppy seeds, ground nuts, chironji, cashew nut and blend into smooth paste.
  • Heat oil in the pan and add onions, ginger garlic paste and saute it.
  • Add smooth paste, salt, red chilly powder and yogurt mix it thoroughly cook for 20 minutes.
  • Now add fried koftas and cook for 5 minutes.

Garnish with coriander leaves and serve with roti or rice.
