Shrimp Fry is a crispy, succulent deep-fried shrimp covered in a light tempura-like batter flavored with coconut.

I like prawn and can eat as often as possible without getting tried of it. Usually I cook the prawn in a dry saute style or biryani. Tried a slightly different version of prawn fry this time around and am pleased with the end result.

Ingredients used in Coconut Shrimp Prawn Fry
• Shrimp - 8 numbers.
• Desicated coconut - 10 grams.
• Coriander leaves - 1 spring.
• Red chili powder - half tea spoon.
• All-purpose flour (maida) - 1 tea spoon.
• Turmeric powder - 1/4 tea spoon.
• Egg - 1 number.
• Curry leaves - 1 spring.
• Ginger- garlic paste - 1 tea spoon.
• Salt - to taste.
• Coriander powder - 1 tea spoon.
• Lemon juice - 1 tea spoon.
Method:
First of all deep- fried shrimp. In a large bowl, add shrimp, Chili powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder, salt, ginger garlic paste, lemon juice and mix well. Then add chopped curry leaves, little egg white and mix it well. Set aside to marinate for 15 minutes. In a small plate or bowl mic coconut powder and all- purpose flour. Coat shrimp pieces with powder mixture properly and keep aside. Heat oil in a deep pan. Once oil get hot, put coated shrimps in it and deep- fry till it get light golden color. Take out on a paper towel so excess oil get absorb. Serve this fried shrimp with hot chili sauce or sauce of your choice.
