Ingredients used in VEGETABLE SAGU
• Poppy seeds - 1-2 tablespoons.
• Coriander seeds - 1 tea spoon.
• Fennel seeds - 1/2 tea spoon.
• Cardamom - 2 numbers.
• Cinnamon - 1 stick.
• Cloves - 3 numbers.
• Black pepper - 1/2 tea spoon.
• Green chillies - 3 numbers.
• Cashew nut - 5 numbers.
• Ginger - 1 piece.
• Garlic - 5 cloves.
• Fresh coconut - 1/4 cup.
• Onions(chopped) - 1/2 cup.
• Salt - to taste.
• Curry leaves - 1 spring.
• Carrots(chopped) - 1/2 cup.
• French beans(chopped) - 1/2 cup.
• Potato(chopped) - 1/2 cup.
• Cauliflower - 1/2 cup.
• Green peas - 1/2 cup.
• Curd - 1/2 cup.
• Lime juice - 1 tablespoon.
• Coconut oil - 1/2 tea spoon.
• Coriander leaves(chopped) - 1 tablespoon.
Method:
Take a pan and add poppy seeds, coriander seeds, fennel seeds, cardamom, cinnamon, cloves, black pepper and dry roast it. Transfer into mixie jar and add green chillies, cashew nut, ginger, garlic, fresh coconut and blend into smooth paste. Heat oil in a pan and add fennel seeds, onions, salt, curry leaves and saute it for a 1 minute. To it add paste and saute it, later add carrots, French beans, potato and saute it. Add water and cook for 6-7 minutes, with lid on it. Add blanched cauliflower, fresh green peas and mix it. Add curd and mix nicely, check for seasoning and add lime juice, coconut oil. Atlast add coriander leaves and mix thoroughly. Now vegetable sagu is ready to serve.
