Ingredients used in RAW PAPAYA CURRY
• Peanuts - 2 tablespoons.
• Dry red chilies - 4-5 numbers.
• Cumin seeds - 1/2 tea spoon.
• Sesame seeds - 1 tea spoon.
• Oil - 1 tablespoon.
• Mustard seeds - 1/4 tea spoon.
• Chana dal - 1/2 tea spoon.
• Garlic(chopped) - 4 clove.
• Turmeric powder - 1/4 tea spoon.
• Curry leaves - 2 springs.
• Onions (cubes) - 1 numbers.
• Salt - to taste.
• Green chillies (slitted) - 3-4 numbers.
• Papaya pieces (boiled) - 1 cup.
• Desiccated coconut powder - 1 tablespoon.
Method:
In a hot pan, add peanuts, dry red chilies, and roast it. Then add cumin seeds, sesame seeds, desiccated coconut and roast them they get a nice colour then make it into a coarse powder. In the same pan, heat oil, add mustard seeds and saute it. When they crackle, add chana dal, chopped garlic, turmeric powder, curry leaves, green chilies, onions, salt, papaya pieces and cook for 2-3 minutes. Now add prepared masala, toss it well. Serve with chapati or rice.
