Ingredients used in Papaya Shahi Gravy
• Papaya ( chopped ) - 1 cup.
• Oil - as required.
• Turmeric powder - 1 tea spoon.
• Salt - to taste.
• Chili powder - 1 tea spoon.
• Water - as required.
• Ginger garlic paste - 1 tea spoon.
• Coriander powder - 1 tea spoon.
• Tomato puree - 1 cup.
• Curd - 1 cup.
• Water - as required.
• Kasuri methi - 1 tea spoon.
• Fresh cream - half cup.
• Honey - 2 teaspoons.
• Coriander leaves ( chopped ) - 1 bunch.
Method:
  • Take chopped papaya in a bowl, add 1 teaspoon of oil, turmeric powder, salt (to taste) and roast it on pulka tawa and transfer to a bowl.
  • Roast cashew nuts in the same pan then add chopped onion, salt (to taste) and grind to a fine paste.
  • Heat oil in a pan, add turmeric powder, chili powder, little water and mix it well.
  • Then add ginger garlic paste, coriander powder, tomato puree and cook it for about 3 minutes.
  • Add curd, papaya pieces along with water and let it cook with closed lid.
  • At last, season it with kasuri methi, fresh cream, honey, chopped coriander leaves and mix it well.
