Ingredients used in Mutton And Potato Curry
• Mutton - 500 grams.
• Potatoes - 225 grams.
• Coriander powder - 1 tea spoon.
• Garlic - 4 cloves.
• Green chillies - 4 numbers.
• Onions - 1 number.
• Turmeric powder - 1 number.
• Chilli powder - 2 teaspoons.
• Ginger - 1 piece.
• Tamarind/ vinger - to taste.
• Oil - as required.
• Salt - to taste.
• Water - as required.
Method:
  • Wash and cut up the meat. Wash, peel and cut the potatoes.
  • Slice onions, pell and slice half and ginger.Soak tamarind.
  • Grind remaining half of garlic and ginger.
  • Heat oil and addonions, sliced garlic, ginger and whole chillies.
  • Add turmeric powder, coriander powder and chilli powder. Fry well, sprinkling water from time to times.
  • When well fried add the ground ginger and garlic, meet and fry for 5 minutes.
  • Add potatoes and salt with warm water.
  • Cook gently till meat is tender.
  • Add tamarind water, bring to boil and remove from fire.
