Ingredients used in DRUMSTICK SOUP
• Drumsticks (cut the drumsticks into 3 inch long pieces) - 4 numbers.
• Carrots - 2 numbers.
• Garlic cloves - 5 numbers.
• Curry leaves - 2 springs.
• Fennel seeds - 1/2 tea spoon.
• Peppercorns - 1/2 tea spoon.
• Coriander stems - 1 bunch.
• Ginger (chopped) - 1 piece.
• Green chilli - 3 numbers.
• Tomatoes - 4 numbers.
• Dal water - 2 cups.
• Salt - to taste.
• Oil - 1 tablespoon.
• Coconut milk - ½ cup.
Method:
  • Heat oil in a pan add drumstick pieces, carrot pieces, garlic cloves, curry leaves, fennel seeds, peppercorns, coriander stems cook it for 1 minute.
  • Then add finely chopped ginger, chopped green chillies, tomatoes and add some water and let it cook for 5 minutes.
  • Once the tomatoes and drumstick are cooked add water left over from boiling dal, coconut milk, salt boil it for 5 minutes.
  • Remove the drumsticks, coriander stems, curry leaf strips from the soup.
  • With the help of the hand, blender makes it into a paste, in this add drumstick pulp boil till the soup become thick. Serve hot.

I tsp oil, 1 C drumsticks (what is that?), 1 C carrots diced, 9 cloves garlic, 10 curry leaves, root of a coriander plant, 1/2 tsp fennel seeds, 1/2 tsp peppercorn.  Add 1 tsp ginger, 3 green chills, 1 tomato chopped.  Add 1/2 C of water and Cook unt
