Ingredients used in chicken teriyaki
• Soy sauce - 1 cup.
• Mirin - 1/2 cup.
• Sake (japanese rice wine) - 1 cup.
• Brown sugar - 1 tablespoons.
• Ginger paste - 1 tablespoons.
• Chicken thigh meat - 1 lbs.
Method:
Mix all the ingredients except chicken. This is the teriyaki sauce. Marinade chicken in this sauce for atleast 4 hrs. Now take out only the chicken from the sauce and shallow fry it in a flat bottom pan(with very little oil). Brush the sauce on the chicken for every 5 min and turn it other side. Repeat the procedure untill glossy brown texture is attained. When it is done, pour the rest of the sauce in the pan. Garnish it with scallions. Now its ready to serve.
